RotaCloud supports two-factor authentication (also known as two-step authentication, multi-factor authentication, 2FA or MFA). This means that whenever you log into a new device, you'll be asked for a 6-digit code. This code is generated by an app on your smartphone.

Two-step authentication must be set up using a desktop computer. To set it up, head to your Settings > Password & Security, and click 'Enable Two Factor Authentication'.

Next, download the Google Authenticator App, which will provide you with your 6-digit codes at the time of login.

Click the + icon in the bottom-right of the app, to add a new website.

Then, select 'Scan a QR code’ and use your phone's camera to scan the QR code displayed on the RotaCloud site.

After scanning, the Authenticator app will display a 6-digit code at all times for logging into RotaCloud. Enter this 6-digit code now, and click 'Validate'.

Now, you will be prompted for a code every time you log in - open the Authenticator app to see the current code and type/paste it in when requested.
