If you have staff who work different roles and get paid different rates of pay based on this, you can set this up in their profile.
Step 1 - Setting up different roles
Before setting up different rates of pay, you'll need to assign employees to work multiple roles. To do this, go to your Company tab and select Employees. Select the employee you'd like to set this up for from your list to be taken to their profile.
In their profile, select 'Roles' from the menu on the left. Here, you can tick the Roles the employee will be working.
Step 2 - Setting up role rates
Next, select 'Wage & Salary' from the menu on the left of the profile - scroll down this page to the section 'Custom Role Rates'.
Here, you can enter either an hourly or shift rate for each Role the employee is assigned to.
Once done, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click 'Save'.
Step 3 - Adding shifts
Now your custom role rates have been set up, you just need to create shifts on the rota. As you add shifts, assign the relevant role and the costs/pay will automatically calculate for you. You can see a breakdown of this by clicking on an employee's total hours under their name on the Rotas page.
If you use RotaCloud's Time and Attendance package, you'll also see this broken down on the 'Role Breakdown' payroll report.
