Storing data in an employee's profile use logbooks

RotaCloud's Pro package give you access to our Logbooks tool. This allows you to log records in an employee's profile with a time and date stamp and is particularly useful to mark things such as training and appraisals.

Who can access logbooks

Logbooks can be access by all Admin level users. They can also be access by Managers depending on their permissions - in order to access logbooks, Managers will need to have the permission 'Add employees and manage basic information (email, locations, roles, allowances, etc)' enabled and will need to manage one of the Locations the employee is assigned to.

Adding a Logbook record

Logbooks can be found in an employee's profile. To access this, go to your Company tab and select Employees. You'll then see a list of all your employees - click on the employee you'd like to add a logbook record for.

Once selected, use the menu on the left of their profile to access to Logbook section.

Next, click the blue plus icon to create a new logbook record.

You can then select a category from the dropdown - if you don't yet have any categories created, you can click 'Create a new category' and type your category in the box.

Complete the rest of the form with the title of your entry, a description, and the date (this will default to the current date). You can also add an optional time.

Once all your information has been added, scroll down the box and click 'Add'. The record will then show in the employee's logbook section of their profile.
