Pay codes are used by payroll systems to identify which pay rate should be applied to a number of hours worked. 

In RotaCloud, you can enter default pay codes by going to Settings -> Payroll.

You can also apply pay codes to specific roles (via the Roles page) or to employees’ Custom Role Rates on the Wage/Salary tab in their profile.
