As an Admin user, you can determine if you would like employees to be able to receive shift reminders. The employee can then determine how they would like to receive them (email, app push, desktop notification, SMS*), and how soon before the start of their shift they would like them to come through.

*SMS needs to be enabled on the account's billing page for these to be received. This will also show you the price for SMS based on the number of users you have.

Enabling Shift Reminders setting for your employees

For your employees to have the ability to receive shift reminders, you first need to enable this setting. To do this, click the cog icon in the top right corner of your screen and scroll down slightly. Under 'Shift Reminders', tick 'Send employees shift reminders'. You will then be able to use the dropdown below this to determine how soon before the start of a shift you would like employees to be notified.

Once set, this is what your account will default to for your employees - employees will still have the ability to change this setting for themselves, however, so can set how soon before their shift they would like to be notified, how they would like to be notified, or can choose to disable the setting.

Applying Shift reminders for each user

Once shift reminders have been enabled by an Admin user in the account settings, each individual user can customise their notification settings for shift reminders. To do this, click the cog icon in the top right corner of your screen and, using the menu on the left, select 'Notifications'.

Beside the option for 'Shift Reminders', select how you would like to be notified of these.

You can then scroll down to customise how soon before the start of your shift you would like to receive these. This can be anywhere from 30 minutes to 24 hours before your shift.

Once you've made your selections, any changes will be automatically saved.
