RotaCloud is able to show you which other users have Holiday or Public Holiday before you make your leave request. This helps you see which holiday dates are likely or unlikely to be approved.
If this has been enabled by your employer, there are two places you can view these in the system - the Rotas tab and the Leave tab.
On the App
To view your colleagues' Holiday and Public Holiday on the Rotas section of the app, simply head to that tab at the bottom of your screen. You then just need to view the rota in grid format (this layout allows you to scroll up and down and side-to-side to view employees and their shifts). If you're currently in list view, simply tap the grid icon in the top left of your screen.
Holiday and Public Holiday will then be indicated on the rota with either a plane icon (Holiday) or a flag icon (Public Holiday).
You can also see who else is on leave when you request your own leave. Click the blue plus in the bottom corner of any tab in the app and select 'Request leave'. After you have entered the dates you'd like to request, you will see the option 'See who else is on leave' - tapping this will bring up a calendar showing a person icon on each day that has leave. You can tap on any day to select it and scroll down to see which employees have approved leave on that day.
On Desktop
You can view your colleagues' Holiday and Public Holiday on the Rotas tab on a desktop. Head to this tab then scroll down to see employees. Use the arrows either side of the date at the top to move between weeks to find the dates you need. The leave will then show in the relevant boxes for each user the same way shifts do.
You can also see who else is on leave through the Leave page on a desktop. Click the blue plus at the top of the Leave page and enter the dates you'd like to request/view. A calendar will the show on the right showing a person icon on each day that someone has leave assigned and scroll down for details. You can also tap on any day to select it and see which employees have approved leave on that day.
