RotaCloud's standard plan allows you to receive notifications via email, app push, and desktop. You also have the option to upgrade to receive SMS notifications - this will allow your staff to enable a text message notifications.
Adding SMS to your plan
SMS notifications can be added to your plan on your Billing page by any Admin user. To do this, click the cog icon in the top right of your page to access your account settings. From the menu on the left, Select 'Billing' and tick the option to add SMS.
The cost of adding SMS will be dependent on your number of users but will be shown to you before you confirm if you'd like to proceed.
Verifying and enabling SMS notifications
Once SMS has been enabled, in order for staff to receive these notifications, they will first need to verify their phone number. For information on how to do this, click here.
To update your SMS settings on desktop, click the cog icon in the top right corner of your screen. From the menu on the left, select 'Notifications'. You can then click on/off the SMS section for each notification type - any changes you make will automatically save.
To update your notification settings in the app, tap the three lines in the top right corner of your screen. From the list shown, select 'Notifications'.
You can then toggle on/off each method of contact for each notification type and tap 'Save' once done. (If the switch is set to blue, this is 'on'.)
