How do I enable photo-taking on a terminal?

Setting up your clocking in terminal to take photos of staff when they clock in or out

If you use the RotaCloud terminal for your staff to clock in and out of their shifts, you can also enable photo-taking. This will use the camera of your iPad or Android tablet to take a photo of the employee clocking in/out. This provides an extra confirmation step to ensure staff are not swapping PINs.

Enabling photo-taking

Photo-taking for terminals can be enabled by an Admin user when logged in to your regular RotaCloud account (this cannot be done through the terminal itself). To do this, click on your Attendance tab and then select 'Manager Terminals' in the top right.

On the next page, click the terminal you'd like to add photo-taking to (if you don't see any listed, you will first need to set up a terminal).

You can the change the dropdown 'Require Photos' and select from 'Never', 'At the start/end of shifts', or 'At the start/end of shifts and for clocked breaks'.

Please be aware this will only impact staff clocking in and out using that specific terminal - anyone using a different terminal (as your account can have multiple) or using the app to clock in will not have the photo setting in place.
