RotaCloud has an API (Application Programming Interface) which allows you to create custom integrations and feed RotaCloud data it into your own programs or software. This is available to both paying users and those in their free trial.
Almost every function that you can perform in your RotaCloud account can be done via the API.

API Keys
Before your software can make any requests for data, you will need to generate an API key in RotaCloud. This is how your software tells our servers who you are, and that you’re authorised to access the data.
API keys provide full access to your RotaCloud account, so keep them safe - do not email them or send them to anyone who you don’t want to have total access.
To begin, click the cog icon in the top right of your page to open your account settings. On the settings page, select 'API and Webhooks' from the menu on the left.
Click on the blue plus next to 'API Keys' to generate a new API key.
You can then give the key a name so you know what they key is for (typically we would recommend naming it the software you're integrating with).
You can then provide your software developer with the API key, in addition to the Documentation, to work with.
Please be aware, you are unable to customise the content of the email & push notifications we sent to users.
