The dashboard on RotaCloud gives you a quick overview of shifts. On the app, this will show you a summary for the day and what's upcoming and on desktop it will show you a compressed view of your shifts both monthly and daily.

Dashboard month-view on desktop

On desktop, your tashboard page will give you an overview of shifts. The month-view (below) will show you all your shifts grouped by their role.

Below, the numbers indicate how many people are working each role on that day and there's also a summary of the total number of employees working and the cost of this on each day.

You can choose to view the information across 'All Locations' or you can select a specific location using the dropdown in the top left of the page.

You can also tick specific Roles you'd like to see using the list on the left.

Dashboard day-view on desktop

To access the day-view, click 'Day' in the top right of the Dashboard page. This will show you your daily shifts in a timeline format and is particularly good for spotting gaps in your rota. Across the top of the page, you can see the timings of the day and, beneath that, the shifts for your staff. The shifts are laid out in order of start time and grouped if employees are working the same shift.

Employees' initials indicate who is working each shift and can be hovered to see the full name.

You can also choose to order the shifts role. This will show your roles in alphabetical order and will group your shifts together if they're the same - the shifts will align with the times at the top of the page using this view.

Dashboard on the app

The dashboard tab on the app will give you a more generalised daily overview across your account rather than just your shifts. When you first log in, your account should default to the dashboard, or, you can navigate there in the bottom left of your screen.

The dashboard is where you can clock in to your shifts*, see how many people are on leave that day, check who's currently working (often used for fire roll call)*, see what requests you have pending for leave, swaps etc., see total costs for the current and following two days and access your Availability.

You can also tap these sections for more details.

*Clocking in/out of your shifts is a feature of our Time and Attendance package - to learn more about how this works and start a free trial, click here.

You can choose in your Settings if you'd also like unpublished shifts to be included on the Dashboard. To learn more about account settings, click here.
