What is the dashboard?

What information you can see on your dashboard

Written by Sophie Wilson

RotaCloud's Dashboard tab gives you a compressed and concise view your your daily activity. If you're on the RotaCloud app, this is also where you can clock in and out of your shifts*.

*You can clock in and out of shifts if you have RotaCloud's Time and Attendance package.

Your dashboard has recently changed - if you're looking for the previous version of the dashboard, this is now known as 'Calendar'. To learn where to find this, click here.

This is being released in phases - if you don't yet have your new dashboard, you will have access to this in the coming weeks.

Dashboard on desktop

Your dashboard will show you a compressed view of some of your key daily activity. This includes how many employees are on leave and the type of leave and how many employees are working that day including how many are late, clocked in, on break and clocked out.

If you are an admin user, you'll see this for all users on your account. If you have manager-level access, you'll see information only for the location you are assigned to manage.

Dashboard on the app

The dashboard tab on the app will give you a more generalised daily overview across your account rather than just your shifts. When you first log in, your account should default to the dashboard, or, you can navigate there in the bottom left of your screen.

The dashboard is where you can clock in to your shifts*, see how many people are on leave that day, check who's currently working (often used for fire roll call)*, see what requests you have pending for leave, swaps etc., see total costs for the current and following two days and access your Availability.

You can also tap these sections for more details.

*Clocking in/out of your shifts is a feature of our Time and Attendance package - to learn more about how this works and start a free trial, click here.

You can choose in your Settings if you'd also like unpublished shifts to be included on the Dashboard. To learn more about account settings, click here.
